I can offer a slightly different idea. We have a husbands' group that has grown so large that it had to be divided into 2 groups. Participants are husbands whose wives have a form of dementia. Several participants have lost their wives; however, they continue to attend. At some meetings, a guest speaker is invited. Examples: physical therapist, geriatric medical doctor, eldercare attorney, etc. Meetings are held monthly, and are hosted by a local hospital. I think this same concept could be handled virtually.

You are very fortunate and your group as well, that you can leave your spouse alone or with a caretaker. Maybe it’s the stage John is in but I can’t go to mailbox without him, hence the idea of finding a group that we can all go. I figured it would help with socializing and for me as well! I’m so happy for you that the group was a success.
