I am 82 and have been advised to start Pluvicto. PSA is 111 and I have 3rd stage kidney disease and concerned. Diagnosed with Metastatic Hormone resistant prostate cancer. I am in no pain but the PET scan showed cancer in alot of areas of my body and that was concerning to say the least. Also is the PET scan enlarging what might be microscopic? Any older gents with some experience with Pluvicto can you shed some light on making this decision? thank you

I’ve replied to you about how well Pluvicto works in another message where you asked about it.

Be aware that it works really well for 33% of people OK for 33% of people and not at all for 33% of people. Doctors who specialize in giving Pluvicto to prostate cancer patients have confirmed this at online conferences.

More information from an older person who commented on their treatment

I am 86 and will have my 4th Pluvicto infusion..
I had 9 treatments of Chemo. The PSA started out at 86 and got down to 7. Chemo was a real bitch. Then after 11 months the PSA was back up to 80 and I started Pluvicto. My PSA has dropped like a rock. 80 to 40, then 40 to 13 and now 13 to 5.5. My side effects have been minimum. Way better than chemo. I am one of the lucky ones that Pluvicto works on!
