Holy cow! I went into the doc’s office every 28 days for the injection. Tymlos shots were no problem, and I’m not squeamish. but Evenity has some pretty serious syringes.

Here’s one thing I discovered: Tymlos was covered as a Part D drug because I administered it in my home, however, Evenity was not covered and was considered as “other services” and the costs didn’t decline during the year. If I had had the option of learning to inject Evenity myself, it would’ve been covered as a Tier 5 drug for copay purposes. This is very interesting that I’ve read several accounts of self injection with Evenity.

To the point, I had 12 Evenity injections, had no issues except some redness and pain at the injection sites for a couple of days, and great gains between partial dosage of Tymlos and Evenity.

Have a great week and a safe Labor Day! Cheers!

@beanieone: Hi! The reason my Evenity is covered as a Part B is because I chose to have the drug delivered to the Dr office instead of my home! Dr office calls me when it arrives and immediately pick it up, hurry home to put in my refer. I can’t say I like the size of Evenity syringes either, but I deal with it. I hope this explains my situation better. dbamos1945

Would it be OK to ask why you switched from Tymlos to Evenity?
