I haven’t been diagnosed, but have seen my PC twice and an ortho about my ankle pain. The x-rays show no injury. Hmmm…..no one mentioned impingement. I told them my ankle pain feels like a syndrome. I found this piece researching impingement. My pain started after I stood on hard floor at a concert for about 7 hours.

Is there some reason you posted this under neuropathy?

My symptoms are exactly what anterior impingement of the foot. My orthopedic doctor felt it may be a nerve impingement as well, but didn’t label it. I have small fiber neuropathy in my left leg diagnosed by skin biopsies. My neuropathy and leg weakness and numbness along with the paresthesia in the front of my thigh are due to the lumbar stenosis in my spine. All nerve related . I’ll be following up with my orthopedist soon who may order an MRI and possible referral to foot surgeon .
