Thanks for this. I am going to see if my doctor can send me for the ANA test. That sounds like a good idea. For the vertigo - have you tried an Eply maneuver? If the vertigo is caused by the disruption of the crystals in the inner ear, the maneuver can help. You can find oodles of videos online as to how to do it. I can now do my own at home and usually with some fair bit of success. All the best to you.

Hi great you’re going to get ANA tested as a start. That is the gateway test then there’s a bunch more after that will narrow down which autoimmune disease you might have. When I first got vertigo/dizziness the ER doc said loose crystals BPPV- but when I went to a physio, they said no it wasn’t. They firmly told me NOT to do the Eply maneuver because it could actually loosen the crystals. Then they dx me with PPPD. I did all the exercises but nothing helped. After 3 years it slowly improved but it has never gone away. I can’t go for walks it kicks in right away. Stores are terrible but I’ve learned how to cope. I think it’s POTS and Dysautonomia which the vaccine and Covid is known to cause. Many doctors don’t have a clue about these problems so I don’t even talk about the dx except for the internal medicine doctor that actually dx me. Good luck on your journey back to health 🤞
