@rockerjock79…I saw this post last month, but I couldn’t remember your name to reach out to you.
You’re the reason I found out about this situation and I appreciate you. My reaction to the generic was identical to yours. I have posted about this very topic on any site I can find. There are others in the same situation who need to know if anyone takes a generic brand that comes close to C. I guess this is a “taboo” question to ask on some sites. I can’t get anyone to give any of their experiences.
I began bead counting with C about a month ago and it’s been going well. I have about a one month supply left of name brand C and I’m starting to panic. HAVE YOU SWITCHED TO GENERIC? Please let me know how you’re doing because I know the hell that goes along with taking generic C.

I am so sorry you need to bead count. Have you reached out to any local pharmacies to see if there is a "compounding" pharmacy that would be able to produce a lower dosage for you? (I am not sure where you are located)

The switch to generic is difficult, and the wean/cessation is even more so, but it is worth it in the end. This medication should never have been approved by the FDA from the start.
