Various searches seem to indicate that the Pari Altera Neb system is specially formulated to be used with only Cayston and is NOT the same as the eFlow and yet they do not specify how it is different. I will try to call Pari next week to see if I can get a straight answer. But it could be one is ok with hypertonic saline and the other is not.

@irenea8 I have the exact same question about the Pari system used for Arikayce. It’s called Lamira. It looks exactly the same as the eflow, but it says only to be used for Arikayce. What is the difference? Is it the mesh piece? What other differences could there be and how different are they really. Is it all just marketing? Also, is anyone other than me bothered by the fact that a nebulizer made exclusively for treating NTM says to boil only 5 mts? I am afraid to boil mine for 10 mts, out of fear the pieces will melt. I have contact Insmed’s care coordinator about the perceived disconnect, but no answer yet.

I am just guessing here, but probably the only place there could be a difference is in the mesh insert itself. I believe those are replaceable, so you might be able to get the regular "eRapid" one. Also, the neb heads are replaceable for under $150, so if you already have the system, you could ask if that is interchangeable.
