Does it make sense that HB’s ( Human Beings) can “ change”

Posted by olman @olman, Aug 17, 2025

Does an answer exist to this question?
It seems obvious to some HB’s that are a certain age, “ change is impossible “ to others who think that change is always possible; is there one answer to that question? Or is the truth that there isn’t one answer that remains the same for everyone all the time?
Doesn’t this question seem more important at this time in the world’s history than when the boomers were “ coming of age?
If a HB thinks of themself as “ Born Again “ I would guess that they most certainly think that “ change” is most definitely possible.
Does this make sense?
Just curious.

Hi Olman,
Interesting question. Human Beings can change if they want to, in many cases. However, as you age change will definitely happen as I'm finding out at age 79. Your energy isn't as good as it used to be no matter what you eat or how much you exercise. Your skin wrinkles and your hair may turn gray. Luckily, my hair hasn't turned gray yet. Your familiar world starts changing. My husband recently died. My good friends also died as did the neighbor's cat who really liked me. I'm glad that my husband and friends and yes, the cat are all up in Heaven and out of pain. But now there's another change, I'm lonely. About all you can do is give all your cares and troubles up to God. I did and it works. Things are getting better for me. One good thing about God is that he never changes. He is always there for us.
Thank you for this interesting subject!

Hello. @pml

Lonely is one of life's most devastating conditions, and it's a sneaky condition, knocking on your front door whem all your life you were sure your house would be one house lonely would pass by. I experienced it. Am still experiencing, but to a lesser degree, thanks to having recognized what I was feeling (I'm 80) and taken steps to drain lonely of much of its impact. I'm relieved to be able to say I was lonelier through much of my 70's than I am today at 80.

I wish you, and all of us, success at chasing the devastating effects of loneliness!

Best wishes,

Hi Ray,
Thank you for your kind comment! Things are getting better for me. I think it just takes time. God doesn't always hurry.

I find myself thinking that here and now exists here and now simultaneously with another here and now happening side by side somewhere where it can be experienced by change; letting go of limiting beliefs while practicing the parallel paradox that has secret ways of being a Human Being being human and perhaps You Man!
It answers a question I was once asked by an 8 th grade student who asked this:
If GOD can do anything, can GOD make a rock so big that he can’t pick it up?

Someone is asked a question he not only doesn’t know the answer to, but his mind wonders then realizes that he doesn’t even know what the question is
Something happened!
A thought arises: if I can figure this out I’ll be on to something because now I have No Thing
Having No Thing is being No Where

Trying to communicate with Turks while stationed there I discovered that there are things commonly said in English that has no way of saying in Turkish
I wondered why?
Over the years I discovered the same situation exist in other languages.
Translating over several centuries, changing from words to symbols to unravel why in Japan there’s no way to say “ I’m too busy “
Working with a corporate translator we had to go back to ancient Japanese when they used those symbols. The breakdown was to say “ I’m too busy “ then became “ I don’t have time “ and to say that one needed to say:
“ I cease to be human”
A HB only being You Man!
