No erection after 5 years after radical prostatectomy

Posted by onestepmore @onestepmore, Mar 2 1:17pm

I chose not to do the Davinci radical prostatectomy surgery but instead went with a well known urologist that insisted tactile was important during a nerve sparring radical prostatectomy. It's been 5 years as of January 2, 2020 and still not able to get an erection without a shot. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks everyone for the quick reply and experience. My surgery and recovery went great 5 years ago and I never experienced incontinence and still don't...I just had my 4 month PSA test and it's undetectable so it's a blessing. I was also able to walk down the aisle for my daughter's wedding. My wife has been so supportive and she does the shots for me...and her of course. It's not very romantic but it works. Part of being a man is sexuality and before my surgery I read a lot and was afraid of the potential affects...your right when you say Life has it's challenges...it sounds like we all are here and alive...I've have many friends my age in worse shape so I am counting my blessings. Good luck and God speed to you all...Amos

My wife said she was ok with my using the shots, but that she didn't want to give or even see them. So far, after 4 or 5 shots I still haven't found the right dosing, even though the doctor's sample worked fine. No erection or climax this calendar year, so I'll keep trying.
