Hi
Well I've been trying to get an appointment but no luck. The secretary emailed me last week told me to pick either prolia or his zoledrinic acid which I picked zoledrinic acid because that's what I've been on prior to my BC treatment and it was working. I doubt he'll give me an appointment I don't understand these specialists. I have not even had a follow-up since my bone density in June which I want and I've been asking for an appointment. How would you taper off the needle you can't adjust the dose

sue417, I only meant a taper for a steroid, if you decided to take if for a week, having quit the Forteo. You should be able to get all of this by request, without seeing the doctor. You may be wanting to talk to them first. The waits are terrible.

Awful to hear that you are not getting timely medical follow up.

There are now major cutbacks to all services in Canada.
I also live in BC, and friends tell me it's getting more difficult
to get attention at some of the Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) centres they went to.
Today I read this article:
https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/canada-revenue-agency-call-centre-job-cuts-1.7615306
The Federal Government has slashed 10%-- 20% or more
for all services: meaning there is less money transferred to Provinces.
My personal experience is this:
my annual blood test - done last month -
less than half of the usual tests were requested and therefore not done.
I will ask my family doctor why this has changed from the last decades.
How can we catch incipient medical conditions, if we are not
monitored properly with necessary basic blood tests.

Hoping you get the attention you need.
