Hi
Well I've been trying to get an appointment but no luck. The secretary emailed me last week told me to pick either prolia or his zoledrinic acid which I picked zoledrinic acid because that's what I've been on prior to my BC treatment and it was working. I doubt he'll give me an appointment I don't understand these specialists. I have not even had a follow-up since my bone density in June which I want and I've been asking for an appointment. How would you taper off the needle you can't adjust the dose
The joint pain gone within a week for me. I tried Forteo (generic) twice over a period of 2 months.

sue417, the medication should be gone from your system. It may have excited a self sustaining cytokine storm, maybe from the preservative. While no one with osteoporosis wants to take a steroid, it is thought that a five day taper is less burden on osteoporosis than the inflammatory response. I'm so sorry you are having this reaction. Have you spoken with your physician. It might be helpful to check cytokine levels.
