Hi @jmike65 Let me officially welcome you to the Connect BMT posse, as I lovingly to refer to our growing list of members who have had an allogeneic transplant for our various reasons. It can truly be a 2nd chance at life and the potential means to having a cure.

I’m so happy to hear you’re doing well and in full remission…and fully appreciate what you’ve gone through to get to this point with your AML/BMT. Hell and back is pretty accurate. You and I share a similar story with AML and the subsequent transplant at Mayo.(Rochester) Not having any siblings to match I had an unrelated donor. This was 6 years ago, fully recovered and feeling fab!

Please feel free to jump into any conversations where you might be able to share your experiences, stories, journey with fellow members. I never set out to be a mentor but found the value in having been able to speak with someone who had gone through the same odyssey…who walked the same walk. It can be so helpful to others about to embark on this healing adventure. Our input can boost moral and often become a lifeline of hope. ☺️

At which Mayo campus did you have your transplant?
