I got the RSV vaccine about a year ago, when I first heard about it. I'm very glad I did. I'm a scientist with a Ph.D. and my recommendation would be to follow the scientific evidence, not what people say they think the evidence says. Who is your own scientific professional? Your physician. Follow the advice and recommendations of your MD.

@joanland My sister is an anti vaxxer based on anecdotal information she reads on Facebook. I prefer to follow the science and likewise I am totally open to considering reasoned scientific evidence against using any type of injectible. Whether Botox or other beauty injectibles or medical aids against Covid or measles or flu or RSV. Or whatever.

We look after our elderly father (90). We have agreed (with our father’s blessing) that when we disagree about any injections he should get, his excellent long term GP has the final say, and we will all abide by her call.

My father has had all the Covid shots and boosters plus annual flu jabs. He recently had the RSV as well as the new Shingrix jab.

He was totally fine during and after them all - just a sore arm for the day after Shingrix.
