When I swallowed, I could feel a spot that was a bit sore, but it did not bother me very much... by the next morning, it was fine. Since I couldn't tell it was there after the first day, I had no idea when it detached.

It wasn't GERD... it was the medications they were giving me to treat my non-existent GERD. UGH!!! When I went off the medications for the test, I felt better after a few days. Turns out I have a tender stomach lining. I have learned what causes it to flare up: alcohol, spicy food, and many medications. If I avoid them and do not wear a bra for very long, I feel great!

The doctor is wondering if I have GERD actually too. I have not been able to tolerate a lot of the medications and Famotidine that I am on now doesn't help. Three years ago they kept adding medications, I was on 3 and the pain was bad. They took me off them and all pain went away. But this burning came back this year. My only symptom is waking up with a burning throat that sometimes burns at the top of my stomach as well. Soon as I am up the pain goes away. I do have a small hernia. Funny you mentioned wearing a bra, that bothers me! Thanks for your information, I appreciate it.
