My Dad was just diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer
What do they do at the first oncology appt. My Dad has gotten weaker and lives by himself. My Mom is in a nursing home so he is worried about not being able to see her.

Thanks for sharing your story. I am 60 with a similar diagnosis as your husband. It is now 2 years since I started my chemo theraphy which together with hormone medicines has kept the disease stable. Could you say some more about the alternative medicine like type, dosage and time frame?
Kind regards
Jakob
Some alternative medicines produce hormones that interfere with prostate cancer medicine. Be careful about what you take, Check with your doctor to make sure it does not conflict with the treatment you’re on now.
My husband quit all supplements! The ivermectin and fenbentosal wrecked his liver!
He does drink dandelion tea, it tastes like grass and dirt!

Whatever his treatment options your love for your dad is the most potent medicine. Hang in there and remember that faith can work miracles! This from a daughter who experienced healing for her mom.
Sunflower - just take a deep breath. How old is your Dad? The oncologist will explain everything to you. Can you go with him? You might want to so you can learn more directly from the doctor. When is the oncology appointment?
