I'm not sure but I don't think so. It's more training to change the brain pattern of pain and it's taught through various ways...i.e. meditation, breathing.

I went through Pain Rehabilitation beginning about 5 years ago - not through Mayo, but an outpatient program offered by my provider. It gave me back my life, teaching me to manage the bad times and improve my ability to live a semi-normal life in spite of many issues. It involved changing my entire outlook from trying to eliminate chronic pain to learning to live with it and to know my limits.
