It is still hot here in the southwest, and I'm harvesting tomatoes and heirloom lemon cucumbers from a raised bed. My diagnosis was three years ago this month, and frankly I didn't expect to live long enough to try and improve my garden! This year, in celebration of still being on earth, I decided to make this "best summer ever" for veggies, flowers, and herbs. It's time to plant autumn flowers. My mom loved mums and other brightly colored sturdy fall flowers so I get to think of her. I don't have the stamina to work hours (more from other things than cancer) so I planted half yesterday and now can finish the job. I'm appreciating that spreading it out, while sometimes frustrating, extends the happiness too. Best to all of you as well!

Hi, Miriam. I feel just the same way. The old timelines don't apply as much now with all the new treatments, I think (I'll be 4 years in October).
