I have been diagnosed with occipital neuralgia. That is the cause of my scalp pain. I tell people that my hair hurts. It also affects my face my neck, my ears. Sometimes I think I have a sinus infection or a tooth infection but I don’t. It’s the nerves under your scalp that get inflamed. I went for physical therapy and they taught me how to stretch my neck when that happens when the pain happens and it really doesn’t help all that much just a little, but you might want to check out occipital neuralgia.

@SusanEllen66 so you have a diagnosis of PMR or GCA or both? And then a separate diagnosis of occipital neuralgia?
Is the occipital neuralgia totally unrelated to the other diagnosis very curious about this I would like to hear more thank you
