@penny21 @beezyb I have Zometa infusions every month and the first time I had a pretty bad reaction with flu like symptoms for days and bad bone pain, especially in my back. The next time thing happened but to a lesser degree and the time after that I no longer had the flu symptoms, just bone pain. A year or so later a new PA joined the oncology center and she told me to try taking a 24 hour allergy pill (Claritin or Zyrtec) the day before, the day of and for 2 days after to help minimize the negative effects. Low and behold, it helps! She was mad to hear they never told me that before! She said the bone pain and flu symptoms are just a histamine response. Now I hardly get any bone pain when I follow this protocol.
