I got my first reclast infusion and 13 days ago and I've had major problems ever since. I was very sick initially starting 12 hours after the infusion where I was throwing up for 24 hours, fairly high fever definite flu like symptoms with pain throughout my body including headache and just felt terrible. Since then I've been so tired and I have pain in my one side lower back my doctor calls it the pelvic area but I say lower back left side that won't go away. I also had swelling in my ankles. It has not been a good experience. I plan to make this the only time I use the reclast. I had been on prolia for 5 years and did very well no problems. Prior to that I had been on forteo which gave me hearing loss, mild but hearing loss so I could not take that anymore. Does anybody have any suggestions for me for the future. I am in a class that's called healthy bones so I try to work with bone strengthening exercises. I take something called algaecal calcium and some people can just do that and they're fine but it wasn't enough for me. You can take strontium with that and again that's supposed to strengthen bones. I did not get enough help from that. I may have to go that route in the future I'm not sure. If you can give me any advice I'd appreciate it and any advice on what to do now for this pain that's not going away and the tiredness. Thank you. Jayne

If you have another reclast infusion please check out what Windyshores had to say about how she and her doc worked out a plan for her that helped her with managing potential side effects. What have you and your doc discussed about what comes next? Will you take a different drug like tymlos or evenity or?
