I had an ablation for afib - now sinus rhythm I take strontium citrate with my primary doc(geriatrician) and endocrinologist consent.
The reason why strontium citrate was studied because strontium is actually needed for bone. Because of artificial, fertilizers, used in our mass produced food, it was postulated that adding strontium would help bone. The amount of strontium a person gets naturally is from the soil in which their food is grown. It would, seem eating exclusively organic, would give more natural strontium but, again, it depends on the soil in which those foods are grown.
Were you taking the AlgaeCal powder supplement with Fortibone? Did you stop taking it because your bone density decreased? Just curious since I recently started taking the AlgaeCal powder. Thanks.

This is all so challenging for us! My understanding is that Strontium cab give a false indicator of bone density on the Dexa Scan. Google search with AI results: "Strontium supplementation can affect DEXA (Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) scans. Strontium, when incorporated into bone, can cause artificially inflated bone density readings on DEXA scans due to its higher atomic weight compared to calcium, according to Symbiosis Online Publishing. This means that even if there isn't a true increase in bone mass, the DEXA scan may show a higher bone mineral density (BMD) than it should. "
