Had a brief nosebleed before breakfast this morning, after taking 75 mg Clopidogrel (Plavix) since my stroke 3 months ago. Should I be concerned, or take any precautions? Anyone else? Any advice?
Skipping the Plavix dose for today. Should I continue practicing walking with my walker at home and doing arm and leg exercises as instructed by my physical therapy team, or just take it easy the rest of the day?

Don’t stop your plavix unless instructed to do so by your doctor. Ask them. Your plavix is hopefully helping prevent you from more strokes.
An occasional light nosebleed, if from plavix may be a part of it right now. Ask your doctor. Continuing walking is probably ok but ask your doctor.

I would not skip any meds without consulting with my doctor.

I have been surprised by the odd things that cause nosebleeds. One of my MDs points to ….constipation! Google points to spicey food.

I used my pill-splitter Sunday to split my 75mg clopidogrel pill evenly into morning and night doses -- 12 hours apart. No nosebleed today. Left message for doctor.

Trying to prevent dry nose, which can contribute to nosebleeds.
I've read that applying Vaseline to nostrils can help.
Do you think that Aquaphor would be just as good, or better (because it's water-soluble)?

Thanks, @jpartin; I do use Ayr gel -- and Ayr spray sometimes, too -- but it doesn't seem to last through the night.
