Lithium carbonate has been used to treat various bipolar mental conditions for many years. Its use is not recommended for those with diabetes and other conditions. Recent research has indicated that lithium orinate at a dosage many, many times less than toxic lithium levels may "reverse" alzheimers based on lab rat tests. That's a broad statement recognizing that not all lab studies are applicable to humans. Our loved ones can't wait 10 years or more for testing and FDA approval. All we have now are several very expensive infusions that may slow down alzheimers. They may also cause brain bleeds and swelling. And all they do is slow it down.

Lithium oronate shows promise. It's cheap and taken at low risk levels. We're meeting with the neurologist Monday and I plan to discuss starting the use of this inexpensive supplement.

Please let us know how the discussion with your neurologist goes - we are seeing ours in mid-September. Thanks.
