He's doing great.
I kept the big bag on, too, and didn't bother with the leg bag. I didn't go outside much anyway - except to sit on the porch for some sun.
Surprised that he had to use Miralax.
Usually there's some kind of laxative in the Bag 'O Drugs that you walk out of hospital with.
Must be different up there.

Lots of rest, a bit of walking & lots of Gatorade or similar.
He'll be fine. He's got a great nurse.

Thanks Peter for cheering us up : ))) !
We were advised to take Colace and Senokot on a daily bases (morning and night) and we did. In instructions that we got it was said to use Miralax in case bowel movement does not occur by day 3 post op. It was only day 2, but he had a feeling that "all is right there" but is not moving out effortlessly. I was thinking that perhaps he is "just having that feeling" that something is pressing there since all is probably still swollen inside pelvic cavity and full of gas but by afternoon he was "sure" it is there and not moving out so we decided to try Miralax. It worked too well, unfortunately :/. He was happy to be done with that hurdle , however, so all is well that ends wall , I guess ; ). This morning he had normal BM and I hope that from this day on he will be on regular schedule with poop elimination. He is still taking Colace since it should be taken (by doctors order) for 2 weeks, no matter what.
