It sounds like you’re getting a second opinion. I am a survivor and thriver. I was told the same thing as you that a laryngectimy was the approach. Fortunately I went to Mayo and found Dr. Moore who saved my functionality on two occasions starting nine years ago. I urge you to seek him out. There is no one better! God speed!
