Only when they wiggle the needle because they missed the first time. Usually results in noticeable bruising and usually only hurts for a week or so.

I’ve had this happen occasionally since I’ve been getting blood test monthly for eight years. Even when they wiggle the needle around, I felt nothing Once they pulled out the needle. I really can’t remember bruising even once, Unless they’ve left the needle in for a long time after going to the emergency room.
Some people just must be more sensitive to pain.
