Have you gotten a second opinion? After I was gifted with PC, at the suggestion of some people here I went for a second opinion at both Mayo and MD Anderson. I'm currently going to Sloan Kettering and after the second opinions, all of them gave me the same course of action in attacking this.
Having those opinions really put me to rest for all questions I had. Medicare didn't have an issue with those at all.
I told my doctors that I did that and they were glad I did, so don't be afraid to ask other professionals about your condition.
