How Much Exercise during ADT?
I'm in my 8th month (of 24 planned) of Orgovyx and and three months past 44 weekday radiation treatments. Fatigue is a huge issue, and exercise helps reduce the effect a little. I have about an hour of stretching and aerobic (step machine and stationary bike) each weekday which provides a couple of hours of relief. I read somewhere to aim for 30 minutes daily during treatment and 90 afterward. Any recommendations? Both rotator cuffs are blown, so upper body activities are very limited. Thanks for your input!

I'm about the same on Eligard. I take a nap every day. It's not a long one. I do the same, walk everyday and band work. The "manapause" is quite powerful! As for the sleep issues. Totally hear you there. I've taken a magnesium pill the last couple days and it does seem to help. I feel a bit more relaxed than previous. We go this fellas!!!!

yes..just started on Orgovyx-1 month in- and the damn stuff does make you feel exhausted, jittery and dont sleep well..I hear those side effects relent some over time, but what a torturous remedy..!! I really would welcome suggestions..I do workout in the house- it seems that the heat we have in central texas in summer does exacerbate the dehydration and other symptoms...
I have noticed Big Dan is now a shadow of his former self and not much interested the girls- this after a life of being a puss aficiando..so I guess the stuff is working..altho havent lost body hair really..
Next big event is rectal spacer...I picture a work crew with orange cones and maybe a few jack hammers working to open up my asshole for the "spacer"..sounds like it might have been fun years ago with an all girl crew and plenty of lube, before my prostate betrayed me...
Thanks Doug.
I didn’t notice body hair loss until after six months, and then only at first because someone online mentioned it. If you look at the Orgovyx website, I have all the side effects but one, including the “optional “ list. Best wishes for excellent results!
Glad magnesium is helping. It acts as a laxative for me, and I already have significant bowel frequency/diarrhea daily from Orgovyx. All the best!
Congratulations! May your success continue.
I had a routine. I wake up really early. Do 30-45 minutes of Dizpenza meditaion. Then 20-30 minutes of tai chi/Qigong/yoga. Then I hit the gym for 15 minute HIT workout. I find that if I don't get it done in the morning , it ain't getting done. This routine has been compromised by an epigastric hernia, which has gotten exponentially worse over the past 2 weeks,so I can only do low intensity resistance exercises until I get the hernia fixed which won't be for at least a month because of life circumstances. I'm on Orgovyx until the end of Sept, but the timing couldn't be worse.
Hernia repair is a major reason I didn't choose surgery, because the surgeon wasn't confident he could remove the affected lymph nodes without damaging the hernia repair mesh. Prayer for your hernia resolution and recovery from ADT!
I've already had my prostate removed so that won't be an issue. My hernia is epigastric. What is yours.
