Hello @bobbiejean,

I'd like to welcome you to Connect, and we are so glad you've come to this community to find answers. Having chronic nausea must be awful! @mrsdeecee and @kariulrich have given great suggestions, and I'd also like to tag @khadijah, @navymom3, @arieon69, @tgirl, @kirsty281, @sherry8034, @sigtau88, @carmiejoe, @justjane, who have discussed nausea and may have more insight for you.

@bobbiejean, could you tell us a bit more about the type of stomach surgery you had? Have you made significant diet changes?

My cancer was in the upper part of my stomach close to my esphogaus. They removed much of my esphogaus and stretched my stomach up to meet a very short esphogaus.
I have tried some diet changes. I restricted my sugar and tried to go dairy free. Neither one changed things that much. Because I am nauseated most of the time I tend to eat things that taste good to me. I did go to the Mayo Clinic about three years ago. The only new thing I learned was that I have dumping syndrom. They tried to help me with medication, but nothing has helped. I know that I have taken at least 15-20 different medications without positive results. I now take dexilant, lorazepam and nortriptyline. I can't really say they are helping much. I at a point where the doctors say they really can't help me. They say the change in my anatomy is causing my problems. I hope this information helps you to understand my problem.
