I had Girdlestone surgery done and it started with breaking my left femur. They tried to fix it but failed as I have very brittle and spongy bones. Holes and such. I had 5 or 6 surgeries, mostly to clean out infections. They took out all the hardware and was on IV antibiotics for about 10 weeks. Just sitting up now it has been tasking. Have walker, wheelchair, and crutches so hope to walk soon. Anyone know place to get shoes for balance as my left leg is now 2.5" shorter also.

Talk to PT - there are orthotists and shoemakers who will take your shoes and add a lift for the shorter leg by building up the sole.

Hi Tialbin
Sorry for everything you're going thru. Hang in there.
As far as shoe lifts go, I found a place in CO. They're very good n very reasonable.
