Wondering how long one has to stay on it. Off Predisone. Theresa

I started with Actemra injections on January 1st, 2019. It took me over a year to taper off Prednisone the first time.

I was switched to monthly infusions about 4 years ago which corresponded to my last dose of Prednisone. I have never relapsed while on Actemra but PMR symptoms gradually return and my inflammation markers increase when I don't do an infusion.

I needed 15 mg of Prednisone again when there was no Actemra supply during Covid. Being off Actemra for 6 months was tough. After Actemra was restarted I easily tapered off Prednisone again. It only took me one month to taper off Prednisone the second time
