Why did you have second surgery?

I think I had something similar- but I’m was 60-
Choose a lumpectomy and reconstruction. I had 7mmIDC and 4cmDCIS. Took 3 lymph nodes. Negativity lymph node, margin good on IDC, but missed the margin on the DCIS( grade 1 or 2) . Had a second surgery to have clear margins on DCIS. 15 days radiation with a booster. Now on Exemestane( hormone blocker AI drug) I get a physical check 2x a year and diagnostic mammograms and sonogram. Hope that helps.
