I have a major shoulder tendon issue. I was unable to sleep on my left shoulder for a while, And that is how I like to sleep. Orthopedic surgeon says tendons are torn. I had Cortizone shots twice in the shoulder and they didn’t help at all, When I went back for the third cortisone shot and the guy used a scope to put it in a different spot (right in arthritic joint) and instead of coming back in three months, it’s been a year and a half no major problems.

What really made a difference is weight exercises, even isometrics. I started going to the gym three days a week and even though I can’t put as much weight on that arm as my other arm, I do exercise it every time I go to the gym.

This made a major difference in my shoulder. I can sleep on that side without any problem now. There’s only a few angles I can put my arm at that really hurt.

So start exercising those damaged tendons. Just don’t use weights any more than it can handle. It doesn’t matter if you use lighter weights as long as you do each Exercise until you can’t do one more.

It seems that the drugs I’ve been on for eight years, have been part of the problem with osteoarthritis. I was going to have my hip replaced about three months ago. They called me to schedule the appointment and I told them I don’t need it. The exercising and going to the gym have made a difference and my hip no longer hurts. I’ve had two knees and one hip replaced already. Maybe I can avoid any further treatments.

Full thickness tears in 3 of 4. Surgery completed. No recovery
