I like the Orthopedic side of things and the PT with orthopedic experience is great. They seem to know what is connected to what. My pain is the LT in my left fibia area and the PT linked it to the L5, so we worked on that. I do have scoliosis and degenerative back issues that do not normally bother me. I still heat the area midday, used CBD ointment (Happy Salve), and sometimes a cold pack. I cannot take NSAIDs, but sometimes Magnesium helps. Clamshell moves also help. I had an EMG with the neuro and all was normal, but I did get a nerve block from the pain Dr and that has alleviated much of the issue. XRay and MRIs showed nothing, not even arthritis. Avoid any surgery if you can.
