Is an aneurysm over 50mm (5.2cm) dangerous?

I was just told I had an aneurysm on my aorta and it hasn’t hemorrhaged yet. But off hand that they have said nothing about treatment, surgery or even the danger of having one. Hope you’ll have better luck than me on that one. Get well, Robert

Did they give you an indication of size? Any follow ups? Did they say if it’s abdominal/descending or ascending?

You have the right to know more and have some indication of treatment, follow up, prognosis etc

You need to pursue this with better doctors and educate yourself. Most of us here have done our own research and learned much more than our doctors told us at first. Perhaps that's deliberate in an effort not to be overly alarming, but we are alarmed and we need to know. Good luck and keep asking questions.
