no crutches or walker
the crutches seemed like death waiting to happen for me so I got a walker. after a week and half I realized there was caps for the non- wheel part. wow it glides so much easier over the floor. I was so surprised that they took the brace off but like you said you have to follow instructions to the tee. I had alot of nerve pain with the brace on but now that it is off I only have some now and then. the brace was way to tight and the pads on it were not set on correctly. which I adjusted and when laying just in bed we took the bottoms off to give less tension. I have to use the walker for stability for up to six weeks or until I can walk completely with no limp and no pain. the pain is have now is only from my knee being stiff but with the PT exercises it is already getting better where I can walk flat footed with the walker

That is fantastic news. I am glad to hear the nerve pain is gone. My brace was adjusted to 40 degrees on Monday. My kneecap does not like that angle. I am going to talk to the PT about it today.
I am getting used to the protection of the brace and am afraid that I am going to put too much pressure in my foot. Friday will be a month from the surgery and my scar area is still tender.
Getting in and out of the car is easy for me. It is good for me to go out every once in a while.
Keep up the great work with your recovery and therapy.
