I am coming up on a year since gallbladder removal and still have diarrhea on the daily. I tried cholestyramine (not really helpful) and now I'm trying colestipol pills - easier than the powder to take by far, but don't think it is helping much either. I've about decided to stop those pills and see what happens by just watching intake of fat content, greasy food, etc only.
I realize my message is not providing any news or help to those here, but mostly wanted to say that it's a weird kind of comfort to know I'm not a lone ranger out here! Thanks to everyone that posts on this topic!

Yes, I tend to watch my diet too; never eat fast food, never eat much fried foods, stick with fresh fruits and veggies, etc. i do put butter on my toast and use a little bit of salad dressing when I have salads and do use a small amount of olive oil when I grill a chicken breast but that’s it. It’s so very frustrating! Even gets me up in the middle of the night!

I am in the same boat. GI will switch me to colestipol pills. I have heard very good results with Liraglutide off label slows down the digestion of food in the intestines - one shot a day one BM a day. They need to do more studies. Please research and check with your doctor. I asked mine he said we need to try the colestipol first.
