Hi! I take Heather's Tummy Tamers, they're peppermint capsules. I have her fiber as well, but fiber doesn't seem to be my friend? My nutritionist doesn't believe in fiber unless it's in our food. Even then, I cannot have a lot.
I've been getting bouts of diverticulitis every month and just emailed my GI about a surgical consult!

The reason you're having diverticulitis is lack of fiber and your colon isn't emptying like it should. I have peppermint capsules that are called IB Guard but they just seem to irritate my colon. I eat a lot of soft peppermints candy that seem to help my digestion some. If you keep having bouts of diverticulitis you will also eventually have one of the diverticula on your colon will get blocked and form an abcess and if it ruptures you will be very very sick. I had one and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance with an EMT riding in the back with me. Fortunately it did not rupture and I had to have surgery and have the 12" of my colon removed on the left side where all of the diverticulitis was.
