Also, the metoprolol may take some getting used to. I have been on it for about 7 years. It helps to lower blood pressure but also lowers heart rate which can be problematic at times. My resting heart rate is about 55 and it is hard for me to get it above 100. At times my blood pressure dips to 95/55 so be careful while adjusting to med.

mine goes down into the 90's for the top number on bystolic as well. keeping your heartbeats low is good.

I was on it for years. I ended up taking it at night. My brother was having problems tolerating it also until he switched to taking it at night. You might want to try that.
