The tubing or hose should never be boiled or cleaned. Some people replace them regularly, like every few months. After use the compressor should be run for a few minutes to remove any moisture that accumulated during use.

I was told to replace tubing in 6 months. I think it is perfect ground for breeding bacteria though.
