Just diagnosed with endometrial uterine cancer

I recently had an ultrasound and bladder scope for several UTI’s I’ve had. The bladder was normal but ultrasound showed some blood in the uterus. I have an appointment to have a biopsy. I don’t have any external bleeding, pain or discharge so this caught me by surprise. I’m seeing a gynecology urologist. My bloodwork was pretty normal except my RDW was a little high and ongoing A1C of 6.1 but despite strict diet it changes very little. Glucose is under 100. Also CRP went from 4 to 6. I’m 73 and have normal weight. Both mother and sister had breast cancer as well as father passed from non Hodgkin's lymphoma at 67 so am very nervous! Any feed back would be appreciated, feel like if I do have uterine cancer I caught it early?

@saucy It's good to be very cautious and see the gyn-urology specialist. I can understand too why you are nervous with your own history and your family history. If the exam with the specialist shows uterine cancer then it does seem it will be an early diagnosis.

I'm the same age as you. There is history of cancer on both sides of my family but not any of the gynecological cancers. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer (endometroid adenocarcinoma) at age 67, had a recurrence two years later that was treated with radiation therapy, and have been NED (no evidence of disease) since then.

You are certainly doing everything possible for your health and wellness. Do you have a scheduled appointment with the gyn urologist?
