My wife has been diagnosed with NETs. Presently, ongoing tests are being performed. What should I expect? How are love ones providing support?

Good Day!
My wife's breast and throat have benign results-:) However, she is scheduled on 8/6 to find out about the activity that is going on in her stomach which has been diagnosed as NETs stage 2. The symptoms are hormonal challenges ( major sweats, nausea, diarrhea, exhaustion and reduced appetite reduction). She continues to maintain a positive spirit. I continue to encourage her to embrace the present moment daily. We watch uplifting movies as well as stand-up comedy. I’ll keep you posted -:)

That is great news! I agree, Octreotide or Lan. shots really help with hormonal issues.

That's great news! Thanks for updating us. I know you indicated that she has an oncologist specialist but is the oncologist a NET specialist, specifically? As to the hormonal effects of the net, these can be controlled with somatastatin receptor drugs like octreotide or lanreotide injections. Is she currently receiving these monthly injections?

Hi, I hope all is well. My wife received her first injection of lanreotide. Presently she has been experiencing strong headaches and diarrhea thus far. I am certain it has been attributed to the injection. Blood pressure elevation is causing the headaches. I’ll keep you updated. -:)

Hi, it’s been a while. I hope all is well. My wife had her second injection. Presently, she been doing well. Less hormonal changes. It appears that the injections are helping. Her only complaint is some weight gain. She has not received an update on her nets stage level thus far.
