Is too much airway clearance damaging?

Yes it is damaging, but notvjust too lungs. I am 75 yrars old snd have had bronchiectasis since I was 16. Because of all the airway clearance coughing and clearing my throat for all those years, I have now developed tracheal malacia (tracheal collapse). I now must use a Bi-pap machine each night to improve my condition.

Good question.
I've been thinking about this.
I will try the huff cough and feel pain in my back.
I have osteoporosis and scoliosis.
Definitely don't need more pain.
Same with airway clearance.
I have to remind myself to slow down and not to exhale so hard.
