Also, the metoprolol may take some getting used to. I have been on it for about 7 years. It helps to lower blood pressure but also lowers heart rate which can be problematic at times. My resting heart rate is about 55 and it is hard for me to get it above 100. At times my blood pressure dips to 95/55 so be careful while adjusting to med.
Sometimes at night I get odd sensations in my chest as well. One night I had a painful tearing sensation on the my left side. Got my attention. I got out bed and walk around and in a few minutes it went away. I think sometimes our head plays games because we are ultra focused on our conditions. I was diagnosed at 4.2cm back in 2009. I am now at 4.8. Have just been living my life not thinking about it.
