I had the same symptoms, and by the end of 9 months I was at the end of my rope emotionally and physically. Then by chance I went back to a physiatrist who had treated me for hip bursitis with sonar shockwave therapy in the past before knee replacement. I asked if he knew what to do for a leg that wouldn't heal from joint replacement. He asked about the symptoms, then reached over and touched two places around my knee. Ouch! Then he told me I had knee bursitis. Then he located some hip bursitis, and then he checked the IT band and found it was all inflamed. His background in sports medicine gave him a lot of experience with soft tissue injuries. It took 6 shockwave sessions, but he cured it all. Now I walk every day and feel like a new person. Turns out the exercises I was trained to do were all irritating the bursas and the IT band. Now he has me just walking short distances at an easy pace every day. I also do some stretches, but that's all I should do for several months. All those soft tissues have to heal. Four other doctors before him missed the diagnosis. I just finally got lucky in my choice of doctor. Some of us take longer to heal, and the same therapy program doesn't fit everyone's needs or abilities. I don't know what's causing your leg to hurt so, but keep trying doctors with different specialties that include legs. Someone will figure out what is causing your problems eventually. Don't give up. The misery you are feeling is a sign that something is truly wrong. Good luck.

Just had my first shockwave appointment. No change yet, but we’ll see.

Where is your physiatrist group located, I am in Minneapolis. One year post TKR. Can play Tennis, golf and Pickleball but every rotation when biking is painful. And forget about hiking. We used to go to the BWCAW but can't trust my knee.Tried pilates classes but difficult to get down/up from the floor.
