Scar tissue after knee replacement
I had knee replacement surgery 6 weeks ago . Through PT I have been working on breaking up the scar tissue only for it to regrow by the time I get back to PT two days later. I have been massaging at home, using a hand held massager and roller. It is painful and swollen. I am getting very disheartened. Any suggestions as to what else I can do. Has anyone had laser treatments to break up scar tissue? Were they effective?

Your Dr. sounds like an arrogant ass. Find another Dr. That Kaiser will let you use. This procedure is being done all over the world. There was a risk kf infection during the initial implant, but they did that. Follow the money.
Sometimes Kaiser can b very good. and often they r very bad. Know of 1 older women that did not get good care until her adult children took her. Another one from Pacific Palisades won't go for help because Kaiser keeps her waiting over an hour. Another women w Kaiser (in her 50's) died of Chrons disease. Good luck, I would never sign w them.

I’m beginning to agree with you, my surgeon has really pissed me off lately. The problem is, Kaiser is so huge in the Northern Colorado area, and the group my surgeon is with has the monopoly on Orthopaedic care. I see a Neurologist Wednesday, if no insight or help, I’m going to go forward, very aggressively, to find someone or get Kaiser to open options for me. Thank you for engaging with me, it’s very supportive.
I wish we had more options on this area, as I e had to fight Kaiser on many issues. They now consider TKR’s as Out Patient procedures! They denied an antibiotic, they denied meds from the ER physician, they denied the CPM, etc. I’m really over their crap, also!
Hmmm...I’ve had others tell me to get an attorney as well. Sigh...he did both of my shoulder surgeries and was great. This time, I’m greatly disappointed and actually angry now. He shouldn’t be able to just wash his hands of me, and that’s the gesture he used when he said that. Problem is his group has the monopoly on Orthopaedic care in the area and the few I’ve reached out to, won’t see me.
@kimbes1204 Ive known people who have Kaiser you either love them or hate the ins.I would look into other ins a nce they are,nt helping you now .There are so many more good insurance out there .
Unfortunately, because I live in a small, mountain community, we have very few choices and it’s getting fewer and fewer every year.
@kimbies1204 Another thing I don't understand is how they simply "won't see you." You are a Kaiser member, they are the providers in your plan.
I was given prophylactic antibiotics (teicoplanin) prior to the arthroscopic lysis and debridment of left knee. Thankfully I did not get an infection post operatively.
