Was this a TENS device or an EMS device.
The EMS device caused veins to protrude where the pads were placed by a PT as she may have done the treatment too long.

I recently bought a new TENS device. I think the one I've been using is over 20 years old and uses batteries. I like the TENS as well, mostly on my back.
