I was diagnosed with breast cancer about three years ago. The SAVI Scout was inserted a week or so before lumpectomy. It was painless for me. I'd been on letrozole for about two months before that. No side effects from letrozole, which is fortunate. Do you have particular concerns about the SAVI Scout? It seems to be standard before a lumpectomy.

I had the SAVI Scout done yesterday. I had two inserted and for me it was very uncomfortable because one was smaller and near my side. Today my shoulder is bruised and rib cage sore but otherwise doing well. Surgeon told me to plan on lumpectomy in early January which will be 6 months since going on letrozole. Tumor definitely shrinking which means surgery site will be smaller. She said only about 7% of surgeons take this route because they are “surgeons” and it takes time and patience to get to the end result. So far I’ve had no side effects from letrozole. I am 78 and in good health otherwise. Prayers for all as you navigate your journey!
