I would like to add I canceled my surgery at the pre op appointment because I felt like the surgeon really didn’t want to do it and said I wanted to rethink it. I know there are people who have had this surgery and I would like to know their experience. My next thing to do is hopefully get another opinion and/or a surgeon who will take me as a patient as I have read some posts where people have found it difficult to find a doctor as they didn’t perform the original surgery.

This could be a blessing for you, forcing you to seek out other opinions. I so wish I had gotten a second or third opinion on a different surgery. Instead I went to a local general surgeon in a small town. What was I thinking? Not much. I didn't realize how important it was to research reviews and reputation when picking a surgeon. Sometimes that means getting on a waiting list. For me after my botched surgery I found a real expert, who specializes in one procedure to get me back together right. He was a 2 1/2 hour drive away. The hospital at this distance required my husband to get a hotel room, but so worth it!
Also good for you for trusting your instincts. I have learned how important that is.
