Hi @14benj7,

I had 35 rounds (7 weeks) of Photon radiation for a total of 70Gy and 3 rounds of cisplatin chemo for tonsil cancer back in 2008 but no surgery. What you will find out is radiation treatments is a gift that keeps on giving. Most likely you now have one paralyzed vocal cord like me which causes the hoarse and weak voice. I would ask your cancer doctor to do endoscopy to confirm. There are potential treatments for it too in addition I would ask your doctor for a referral to a swallowing/speech therapist which may help and avoid the riskier procedures.

Best,

Rob
